Connect Facebook Messenger

Connect your Facebook Page to UCrew so your AI agent automatically replies to every message sent to your page on Messenger — 24 hours a day, without any manual effort.

What You'll Need

  • A Facebook Business Page (not a personal profile — it must be a Page)
  • Admin access to that Facebook Page
  • Your UCrew account and a project already set up

How to Connect

1

Open the Integrations Page

Log in to your UCrew Dashboard. In the left sidebar, click Integrations. You'll see all the channels you can connect.

2

Click "Connect" on Facebook Messenger

Find the Facebook Messenger card and click Connect.UCrew will open a Facebook login screen for you.

3

Sign In with Facebook

Sign in with the Facebook account that has Admin or Editor access to your Business Page.

Make sure you sign in with the Facebook account that manages your Page — not just any account. If you're not sure, check your Page's Settings → Page Roles.

4

Choose Your Facebook Page

Facebook will show you a list of Pages you manage. Select the Page you want UCrew to handle messages for, then click Continue.

If your Page doesn't appear, make sure your account has at least Editor access on that Page. You can check this in your Page → Settings → Page Roles.

5

Approve the Permissions

Facebook will ask you to allow UCrew certain access. Keep all permissions turned ON:

  • Access and manage your Page's conversations — so UCrew can read incoming messages
  • Send messages as your Page — so the AI can reply to customers
  • Manage your Page — needed to set up the automated connection

Click Done, then OK.

UCrew only uses these permissions to read and reply to messages on your Page. We never post on your timeline or access your personal data.

6

You're Connected! 🎉

You'll be redirected back to UCrew. You should see your Facebook Page listed with a Connected status. Your AI agent is now live — any new message sent to your Page on Messenger will be automatically handled.

7

Test It Out

Open Facebook Messenger on your phone or at messenger.com, search for your Page name, and send a message. Your UCrew AI agent will respond within seconds.

Test from a different Facebook account (a friend's, or a test account) — you can't message your own Page as an admin and get bot replies.

Common Questions

Can I connect multiple Facebook Pages?

Yes. You can connect multiple Pages to the same UCrew project, or create separate projects per Page. Each Page gets its own conversation inbox.

The bot isn't replying — what's wrong?

Make sure Messenger is enabled for your Page: go to Facebook Page Settings → Messaging → and turn on Messenger. Also check that your UCrew project has a system prompt or knowledge base configured.

Will the AI reply to old messages from before I connected?

No. The AI only handles new messages received after the integration is set up.

Can I disconnect Facebook later?

Yes. Go to Integrations in UCrew, find the Facebook Messenger card, and click Disconnect. You can reconnect anytime.
